Guiding the Soul Through an Enlightened Journey
Last night I went to a local meditation group, where 10-15 people get together each week, sit in a circle, share experiences, and connect with their souls.
Barry and I attended together before, but this time I went alone. I arrived feeling a little drained, both physically and emotionally. And I walked away with more energy, more inspiration, and more enlightenment than I had thought possible.
To start off the session, we passed around a deck of “oracle cards”, and the group leader, Donna, chose one card that would be the topic for the night. The card she picked was called “Mercy“, and it talked about being compassionate to others, and not judgmental.
The card really resonated with her, and she felt it must be her personal card. She told a story about how she had judged someone unfairly the week before, then declared that we would pick a new card for the group, since that one was meant to teach her a personal lesson.
But two of us wondered aloud… why assume that nobody else resonated with the concept of mercy? What if there were others who had had similar experiences?
And it turned out that we had — we all had.
So then began the process of uncovering what the topic had to teach us, and what we were going to do to solve it.
To find out what we did… and what you can too… just click below:
= = = = =
First of all, we discussed what “mercy” really meant. One woman equated it with “grace”, and then I talked about the judging part, and how it reminded me of what one of the mentors I interviewed for the Manifest Life multi-media portal had to say:
The 11th Commandment is: Thou Shalt Not “Should on” Thyself.
And I’m going to add… don’t “should on” others, either.
It seems like every problem I’ve had over the last few weeks — and the reason I was feeling drained last night — has to do with “shoulding on” others, or having others “should on” me.
You know what that’s like: “You shouldn’t have said that,” “You should do this,” and so forth… sometimes it’s a constant stream of judgments that we all throw at each other.
Sometimes we even judge whether others “should be” judging us, as crazy as that sounds.
When we can let go of what “should” happen, or what we think life is “supposed to be” like, then we can truly live in the moment… and love what is.
Then I pointed out that “mercy” was related to gratitude, because the French word for “thank you” is “merci”.
Suddenly the room went quiet, and several people had a-ha moments. And our topic of the night now included gratitude.
I shared Dr. John Demartini‘s method of being grateful for the things we think are “bad” in our lives, because that allows us to see the balance and neutralize the charge, or the trigger, that we feel around it.
So Donna decided to add a portion about being grateful and neutralizing our emotions into the next thing on the agenda… a guided meditation.
Guided meditations form the bulk of our group meditation session, and typically Donna does two of them. But after just the first, I felt very alive and full of love and gratitude.
Sometimes it’s hard to meditate on our own, because our minds tend to race around, a mile a minute, and we don’t know what to focus on. We can get some powerful benefits from meditation, including solutions to problems from deep in our sub-conscious, or our super-conscious… but if we don’t know what to ask, or how to keep an intention in our meditation session, then we won’t get the answers we need.
For the second meditation session, we used a recording. The benefits of this type of meditation tool is you can use it again and again, and you don’t need a group (or a skilled and intuitive leader like Donna) to take you through it.
My favorite guided meditation series is Real Mind Power Secrets. The package comes with a variety of meditations and hypnosis sessions for all kinds of things you might want to overcome or achieve… and they are very powerfully put together.
After the second guided meditation last night, I felt like I couldn’t be stopped. I was floating on air, and feeling entirely connected to my soul.
Having group sessions is great for the camaraderie and sharing that’s possible. I’d recommend a meditation circle for anyone who wanted to take their conscious creation abilities to the next level.
But if you don’t have someone to guide you through the meditations, using recordings like Real Mind Power Secrets are a great solution. And — the bonus is — you can also use them on your own, to fit your own schedule.
The reason I’ve only gone to the local group a few times, even though I love it, is that it doesn’t always fit in with my life. But with the recordings, I can listen and meditate any time I want to.
In two weeks, I’m planning to go back again. But in the meantime, I’ll be listening to my Real Mind Power Secrets audios.
It’s one of my personal secrets for moving towards a Life Without Limits.

HI All
I too went to one of the “circle’s” To me it seemed that one or two people always ” knew best” their interpretation was ,what everybody obviously revered as ” the truth” or “the way to think “. And of course that alone rubbed me the wrong way. Recordings and single lifetime stories of ah-hah moments are working the best for me . This is such a very personal adventure and road to travel , that no-one can tell you what or how to go about it .That would be THEIR story NOT yours .I can take someone’s advise or guidance . But ultimately it’s MY road to travel and MY own story to write , knowing how other did it is used as guidance only .
Of course gratitude is a very good way to ” let go” and ” forgive and move-on “kinda of thinking to deal with situations that either don’t work for you now , or must be dealt with some other time . Only to find out that it realy doesn’t or din’t realy matter in the first place .
So far the best advise I have made my own is to ,”mentally /spritually ” step back” and see yourself and a certain situation and look at it a different way ( try to find the good or ” the lesson” in it . go back into the NOW , and either act on it or ” let go” in time the solution will present itself .
Wow, like everything else, there’s a cost.
What if someone is hungry, almost homeless and needs this guided meditation tool. Well i guess they’re just out of the loop.
Hi Robert,
I just took 2 pages writing about a local group I go to that doesn’t cost a cent. And telling you that I recommend putting together your own such group. For… yeah, no cost!
The extra tool is for people who:
1. Don’t know anyone or can’t find anyone to put together a meditation group with
2. Want to be able to meditate on their own without relying on a group
3. Don’t want to uncover guided meditation scripts and make their own recordings (perfectly doable for a few cents and some of your time invested)
Somebody who is “hungry and almost homeless” is probably in the position where it’s time to take a lot more responsibility for their situation than just meditation can offer. In fact I’d venture to say their mindset wouldn’t allow the type of experience I got out of the session — because their thoughts, emotions, beliefs (and yes, actions) are focused in the wrong direction… IF they truly want out of that situation.
I’m not going to assume that person does NOT want to be homeless and hungry, because that would be a judgment on my part. But if they truly DON’T want to be, I would say meditation ALONE is not what they need (although meditation IN ADDITION TO other self work would be a good idea, and meditation can be done alone without guidance if someone is open enough to ask the right questions, have the right intent, and listen to the soul… but this is nothing that I didn’t write in the above post already, I guess you just missed it).
cheers
Heather
Robert,
Heather, in her response above, addressed what you didn’t see.
Now, I’m going to address, albeit briefly, what you did see.
Like a lot of people who constantly struggle with finances or internal issues around the idea of “spending to get”, it’s the lack thinking and inability to come to grips with how certain universal laws work, that causes them to get into a continuous cirlce of despair.
But, hey, this isn’t nothing you don’t already know, right ?
Cause, after all, if you are writing on our blog, it’s not you who is “hungry and almost homeless”; rather, you’re trying to be the defender of the down-trodden and poor souls who just can’t make it in this physical realm called life, without a lot of hand-me-down assistance, correct ?
Look, here’s the deal:
Yes, you’re ab-so-lute-ly 100% correct in your deduction that, “like everything else, there’s a cost.”
That’s how life, most of the time, truly works.
“Spend to get” works like that.
We wake up everyday and exPEND our energy to create a day that jives with our vision and belief of who we are and what’s truly possible.
We either spend time complaining or being in a state of gratefulness ( either for what we have or what we’re about to receive) and we GET back the equivalent.
We, as humans living in our own body/computer-generated experience, either decide on our own to SPEND more time on joy, love and happiness or sorrow, fear, sadness… and, yep, guess what, we GET back whatever we decide to give out.
But, look, I could go on and on about this; however, I already created a few things for folks who seem to not grasp the idea of “Spending To Get” via these two things:

Dear Heather,
It is a small world after all, we are all connected. Last Oct. my beloved son at age 22 crossed over to the other side. Talk about mercy, I feel ever so connected with mercy, the joy the pain, the love the hope, the forgiveness the gratitude. Last night I thought about going to this local meditation group my dear friend Nancy told me about. However I was just not moving fast enough to make it to town. So instead I went out side wrapped in layers and surrendered to God. I was in mercy, I meditated by simply connecting with the elements of our universe and God. I began my meditation by saying God have mercy on my soul. And when I was done I felt lighter, closer to my son, and I felt love. Yes Mercy IS flowing expanding love. Giving and receiving. The beauty of gratitude is the vibration is always one of love. Last year for Christmas I gave 50 people gratitude rocks with that sweet little story from the book The Secret. I never new at that time that my inner wisdom was preparing me for remembering gratitude this year vs. loss.
Today I was drawn to read your post, and after I did I just had this feeling that your insights were a conformation for my own answers. I feel as though I went to that meditation group after all. I will have to ask my friend Nancy what their G.P. group experienced last night. Thank you, and I so admire your work. With love and warm regards, Louise
Excellent, inspiring, might help to get the western world governments out of their Virtual reality World that they have been in for a decade. Current Official view “There are no links between Health and non ionizing Radiation”
I believe God hears the cries of the victims, the governments cannot, they have been misled. Democracy is really corporatocracy, I believe Einstein and Newton’s God
best wishes John
